Selanar Instruments was founded on a single conviction: the instruments that guide, measure, and navigate our most critical operations deserve better. Not more complex. Not heavier. Better — in precision, in durability, in the honest reliability that comes from engineering without compromise.

Selanar Instruments established with a mandate to develop precision sensing instruments for extreme-environment applications. Initial founding team with backgrounds spanning aerospace, defence, and industrial measurement systems.

PROTOTYPE SERIES ALPHA

First working prototype of what would become the TYPE-I Inertial Unit completed and submitted to internal testing. Six-axis measurement architecture validated. Performance targets exceeded in thermal cycling trials.

STANDARD ISSUE FORMAT ESTABLISHED

Selanar Standard Issue packaging format adopted across the range. The format prioritises field-readable technical data, tamper-evidence, and environmental protection during transit. The MODEL numbering convention introduced and formalised.

MODEL-01.42 ENTERS PRODUCTION

First production run of the TYPE-I Inertial Unit (MODEL-01.42) completed. Initial units delivered to pilot customers for field evaluation. Operator feedback used to refine assembly tolerances and connector specification.
